Proverb Essay and day of the dead art piece
In this project, we each found a proverb in Spanish and wrote a short essay to accompany it. There was also an art piece in the style of the day of the dead.
“Las cosas no se arreglan con palabras elocuentes.”
Things are not fixed with eloquent words.
This proverb means that one can talk about a problem all they want , but eventually they have to solve it. I was 14 when I learned this lesson .
Before learning the lesson, I would talk about a problem without solving it. I did not understand that one needs to work to fix the problem. I thought that if I told someone about a problem, they would fix it.
I was working on a project in the ninth grade and it broke. I told my partners about the problem and began to work on something else . I expected that they would fix it, but they did not .
Now, I work to fix a problem, rather than simply telling someone about it. I now only tell people that there is a problem if it is necessary.

Spanish review lesson
In this project, we prepared lessons of Spanish review as table groups and presented them to the class. Our table group covered present progressive conjugation, and wrote a skit to explain it. We also had a poster, but it is on paper and can't be digitized
Zach: ¿Qué estás haciendo?
Gillian: Estoy dibujando. (Draws or something lol)
Connor: Estoy comiendo. (Eats something)
Chai’Leice: Estoy bebiendo. (Drinks something)
Dominic: Estoy leyendo. (Reads a book)
Skylar: Maté a un hombre. (Points at dead Zach)
Everyone: NO!
Skylar: Estoy matando un hombre. (Stabs Dominic)
Everyone: Sí! (all run away)
