Watercolor Draft #2
Watercolor Reflection
In this project, we were tasked with creating a watercolor from two juxtaposed photos. For my painting, I chose to juxtapose a pair of cat paws over a dog's head. In my first draft, I was much too fast when painting, and the quality suffered for it. The lines were sloppy, the colors were off, and the details were nonexistent. In my second draft, I asked a few people for advice on how to improve it, and I was told to clean up the lines, paint more slowly, color-match much closer, and to outline the whole thing more. Although this painting isn't perfect, it is a large improvement and really shows how much better something can look if you put in the effort and take your time with it. Overall, I am happy with the final project, and think that there will be much more improvement over the course of this year.
